New multiplayer maps
Season 02 introduces five brand-new multiplayer maps for players to enjoy. These maps offer a variety of environments, ranging from urban settings to high-intensity combat zones. Maps like Dealership and Bounty will keep the gameplay dynamic, while Lifeline, a map set on a high-end yacht, promises intense small-team combat. The midseason update will also bring a highly anticipated map from Black Ops 2, Grind, which is sure to evoke nostalgia for long-time fans.
New weapons and gear
Players can expect over six new weapons to unlock in Season 02, with four of them confirmed in the roadmap. These include the PPSh-41 submachine gun, Cypher 091 assault rifle, Feng 82 light machine gun, and TR2 marksman rifle. In addition to these new weapons, a Crossbow attachment will allow players to modify select rifles and turn them into deadly crossbows. A wealth of new blueprints and cosmetics will also be available through the season’s battle pass.
Zombies mode: The Tomb
For those who enjoy the Zombies experience, Season 02 brings a brand-new map called The Tomb. Set in an excavation site, this map continues the story from last season’s Citadelle des Morts and takes players deep into tombs and subterranean temples. The Shock Mimic enemy returns, electrified and more dangerous than ever. Players can also wield the return of the Ice Staff Wonder Weapon, which was first introduced in Black Ops 2.
Limited-time events and modes
As with every season, limited-time events and new game modes are key to the excitement. Season 02 will feature a Valentine’s Day-themed event and exciting seasonal modes like Overdrive, which adds a twist to traditional team deathmatch gameplay. Players will also get the chance to experience a special Terminator crossover event, launching on February 6, 2025, with exclusive skins, challenges, and rewards.
