A Fellowship Linking AI Skills to Public Impact

Claude Corps seeks to bridge the gap between emerging AI technologies and organisations working to address social challenges. Fellows will spend 12 months embedded within host institutions, helping them build AI-powered tools, automate processes and improve service delivery using Anthropic’s Claude platform.

According to Anthropic, the programme forms part of a broader effort to ensure the benefits of AI reach communities and organisations that may otherwise struggle to access advanced technological resources. The company has committed $150 million to the initiative and plans to place up to 1,000 fellows across participating organisations in the coming years.

Each host organisation will also receive a $10,000 grant alongside free Claude AI credits, enabling fellows to implement practical solutions that continue to deliver value after their placements end.

Who Can Apply?

The fellowship is open to applicants aged 18 and above with fewer than 2 years of full-time work experience. Anthropic has stated that there is no formal educational requirement, making the opportunity accessible to candidates from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds. Applicants must, however, be authorised to work in the United States.

Organisers say they are looking for fast learners who are comfortable using AI tools, can communicate effectively and are motivated by public service and community impact. The programme places a strong emphasis on practical problem-solving rather than traditional credentials.

Salary, Benefits and Timeline

Successful fellows will receive an annual salary of $85,000 together with employment benefits and, where required, relocation support. Participants will also gain access to AI training, mentorship and resources provided through the programme.

Applications for the first cohort will close on 17 July 2026. The inaugural group of fellows is scheduled to begin placements in October 2026, while additional cohorts are expected to launch in 2027.

Growing Demand for AI Talent

The launch of Claude Corps comes as organisations across multiple sectors explore ways to integrate AI into their operations. By placing trained professionals directly inside mission-driven institutions, Anthropic and CodePath hope to expand AI adoption while helping participants build valuable career experience in one of the world’s fastest-growing fields.

For aspiring professionals seeking a paid entry point into the AI sector, the Claude Corps Fellowship offers a pathway that combines technical learning, real-world impact and competitive compensation.
