A Platform for Climate Innovation

ClimateLaunchpad is designed to help entrepreneurs tackle pressing environmental challenges through innovation. The competition focuses on sectors such as clean energy, circular economy, sustainable food systems, and water management, offering a pathway for founders to build impactful ventures from the ground up.

Unlike many startup competitions, the programme is free to join, lowering barriers to participation and enabling wider access for innovators at the idea or early-development stage.

Training, Mentorship and Global Exposure

Participants selected for the 2026 cohort will gain access to expert coaching, structured training, and mentorship designed to refine both their ideas and business strategies. The programme also provides opportunities to validate business models, strengthen market fit, and connect with a global network of investors and industry experts.

A key highlight of the competition is the opportunity for top-performing teams to pitch at the Global Grand Final, to be held in Singapore. Finalists will compete for international recognition, prizes, and access to a wider climate innovation ecosystem.

Structured Pathway from Idea to Impact

The ClimateLaunchpad journey is divided into multiple stages, beginning with an introductory mini-course followed by an intensive bootcamp. Participants then progress through coaching sessions and national competitions before advancing to regional finals and, ultimately, the global stage.

This step-by-step structure is designed to help entrepreneurs move from concept to execution, equipping them with the tools to build resilient, investment-ready startups.

Eligibility and Application Details

The competition is open to early-stage climate ventures that are less than 2 years old, have raised less than €200,000 in funding, and have not yet generated commercial sales.

Applications for ClimateLaunchpad 2026 close on 15 May 2026 (23:59 CET), although timelines may vary slightly depending on the applicant’s country. Prospective participants are advised to visit the official ClimateLaunchpad website to confirm local deadlines and submit their applications.

Driving the Next Generation of Green Startups

As climate challenges intensify globally, initiatives like ClimateLaunchpad continue to play a key role in supporting grassroots innovation. With mentorship, access to funding, and international exposure, the competition gives entrepreneurs a launchpad to build solutions to the world’s most urgent environmental issues.

For founders with bold climate ideas, the 2026 edition offers an opportunity to move from concept to global impact.
