The official inauguration of the e-Justice platform on Thursday, January 30, marked a significant advancement in Côte d’Ivoire’s modernisation of its public administration.
Citizens of Yopougon and Dabou can now apply online for nationality certificates under this program, which was designed to make access to judicial services easier.

Benefits of the e-Justice platform
The platform specifically permits each applicant to be assigned a unique number, to use a visible electronic stamp (CEV), and to use an authentication mechanism through the National Office of Civil Status and Identification’s (ONECI) VERIF application. By allowing users to track their file’s development in real time, administrative restrictions are lessened.
“Justice must be an accessible, fluid and transparent service for all. Today, it is a fundamental milestone that we are setting on the path to a more modern Côte d’Ivoire. This platform is a symbol of transformation and progress, at the service of every Ivorian ,” declared the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Jean Sansan Kambile.
The project is a component of the national strategy for digital transformation, which aims to increase public service efficiency.
With an e-government development index score of 0.5587 out of 1, Côte d’Ivoire is ranked 124th out of 193 nations in the most recent United Nations study on e-governance.
Even while the nation is improving, especially as a result of programs like e-Justice, this ranking indicates that more has to be done to catch up to the most cutting-edge digital administrations. This platform is the first step in the judicial sector’s digital transformation.

Expansion to other jurisdictions
The project will be expanded to additional jurisdictions and new services, such as criminal record management, in a few months.
The initiative’s ultimate goal is to modernise and harmonise the whole Ivorian legal system, providing all residents with easier, safer, and more effective access to justice services.
Digital solutions facilitate citizens’ access to a more modern and efficient government by speeding up and improving the transparency of governmental services.
