The induction ceremony for Cohort 2 is scheduled for June 29, 2026, according to notices issued by accredited training centres ahead of the rollout. Applications and programme details are available via the official TVET portal https://tvet.education.gov.ng.
Training centres confirmed that selected beneficiaries will be formally inducted on June 29 before proceeding into structured training sessions nationwide from July 1.

A notice sent to trainees stated:
“We are pleased to inform you that the Induction Ceremony for Cohort 2 has been scheduled for Monday, 29th June, 2026. The training sessions will commence thereafter from 1st July, 2026. Further details regarding the training schedule will be communicated in due course,” the notice stated.
Participants were also instructed to come with one photocopy of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) for documentation and verification during induction.
The programme is fully funded and includes a monthly stipend of ₦22,500 for beneficiaries.
Education Minister Tunji Alausa said the scale of participation reflects strong demand for skills development, noting that over 1.3 million Nigerians applied during the first phase of the programme.
“Last year, over 1.3 million Nigerians applied, a powerful reminder of the growing demand for practical skills and the impact they can have on people’s lives and our economy,” he said.
Ahead of the rollout, the Federal Government also held a capacity-building workshop for State Project Monitoring Officers under the TVET programme to strengthen oversight, compliance, and delivery. The workshop focused on improving implementation structures and addressing gaps identified in the first cohort.
National Project Monitoring Officer for TVET and IDEAS, Odewunmi Olatunji, said the engagement would help improve coordination and prevent past implementation challenges.
“This engagement allows us to receive feedback from officers who are directly involved in implementation at the state level. Their experiences are invaluable in helping us address gaps, improve coordination, and ensure that challenges encountered during the first phase are not repeated in the next cycle,” Olatunji said.
