Huawei Nigeria Digital Power has marked the energy sector with a new CI Solution and the 150K Series Inverter. The event, which took place in Lagos, Nigeria, is an apparent show of force in ensuring that digital power technologies are developed further and used to transform the region into more sustainable power innovation.

Mr Cruise Ni, Director of Huawei Nigeria Digital Power Business Dept., gave the keynote talk on Huawei’s aim to establish a high-quality solar industry in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Nigeria.

Nigeria’s demand for photovoltaic and energy storage systems (PV and ESS) is rapidly increasing due to decreasing commodity prices and rising grid electricity prices.

Huawei, Ethio Telecom deploy first batch of Solar-on-Tower solutions in Africa

The combination of solar and battery energy will become the most economical energy source, with microgrids becoming mainstream in the next decade. Huawei’s technology innovation, lifecycle security assurance, and stable local operation will provide unique value to partners.

The CI Solution is a stable and efficient power supply system designed to meet Nigerian companies’ energy demands. It uses digitalisation technologies, such as intelligent energy management systems, to improve organisational function and minimise greenhouse gas emissions.

Huawei’s 150K Series Inverter: A technological marvel

In addition to the CI Solution, Huawei Nigeria launched the new 150K Series Inverter, a sophisticated device that converts and stores energy optimally. Although most inverters deliver electricity to the grid with an efficiency level of 90-95 per cent, this specific inverter is the most efficient and can work in almost any energy regime in commercial and industrial markets.

The 150K Series Inverter is equipped with sophisticated control algorithms for efficient grid interaction, thus allowing it to be integrated into existing grid systems. Because of its sturdy build and reliability, the design fits Nigeria’s energy environment, where the reliability of the delivery system is paramount. This inverter increases energy conversion rates, which makes businesses operate more efficiently and at a lesser expense.

How Huawei is addressing Nigeria’s energy challenges

Nigeria’s energy situation is critical, as it lacks a stable electricity supply and relies heavily on fossil fuels. Huawei’s new CI Solution and 150K Series Inverter are expected to shore up responses to these challenges by providing better and cleaner energy solutions.

The integration of these technologies is expected to be instrumental in helping Nigeria transform into a green economy. By offering solutions to businesses to enable them to address and harness energy better, Huawei is playing a positive role in the nation’s attempts to wean itself off non-renewable energy and improve energy security.

Huawei’s entry to Lagos is a product innovation and an excellent strategy for expanding the company’s foothold in the African market. Africa has been the primary focus of the company’s expansion, and introducing these new products will go a long way toward improving its market standing.

Huawei, a key player in the African digital power market, has launched the CI Solution and 150K Series Inverter to integrate resource-efficient technologies in African operations. These advancements contribute to better energy supply and the fight against climate change, potentially shaping Nigeria’s future power distribution.
