The UAE-USA-based AI finance SaaS platform closed a USD 1.1M funding round backed by UK-based 1818 Venture Capital, F6 Ventures, US-based Sparked VC, IM Fndg, and Institutional Venture Partners.

The round closed ahead of its original schedule in late 2025, with capital earmarked for product development, expanded system integrations, and sales growth across multiple geographies.

Founded in 2023 by Karl Nasr and Sam Arif, Kudwa builds software that connects to ERP, accounting, and operational systems, automating the financial reporting, forecasting, and scenario analysis that finance teams typically handle manually.

The platform consolidates raw data and uses proprietary AI models to generate clear, actionable recommendations, streamlining financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.

Where accounting ends, Kudwa’s financial intelligence platform begins

Kudwa sits in what co-founder Karl Nasr describes as the “post-accounting” layer of the finance stack,  where pre-accounting tools handle transactions and accounting software manages bookkeeping. Kudwa targets everything that follows: financial planning and analysis, entity consolidation, forecasting, and performance reporting.

The platform uses a combination of large language models, machine learning models, and statistical models to automate the analysis that finance teams typically do manually in spreadsheets.

Nasr put the operational burden plainly, telling FWDstart: “Every single month you have to bring in data from on average eight different data sources, put them in one spot, and then you have five to ten days of working on that.”

Kudwa’s financial intelligence platform leaves no room for errors

Data accuracy is non-negotiable on a financial intelligence platform, and Kudwa has made that a core architectural commitment. The platform runs a validation layer between data ingestion and output, cross-referencing figures against source systems before presenting them to clients, and holds SOC 2 compliance with audits completed by both QuickBooks Intuit and Xero.

Nasr was unambiguous on the hallucination question: “Hallucinations have to be zero. It’s not 99%. It’s zero. It’s black or white. There’s no grey.”

Since closing the round, the company has added AI-driven forecasting, automated reporting, multi-entity consolidation, and additional third-party integrations.

Kudwa has surpassed 500 clients set to be onboarded across the US and GCC, with its competitive edge rooted in robust integration capabilities, user-friendly design, and customizable analytics dashboards tailored to business needs.

The founders summed up their approach in a joint statement: “We closed the round ahead of schedule in late 2025 and went heads-down right away. Our focus has been simple: obsess over customers, ship what they ask for, and build a world-class team that can deliver the AI-powered financial brain businesses rely on.”
