Graduates encouraged to embrace lifelong learning
Professor Timothy Nichol, Pro Vice-Chancellor of LJMU with responsibility for the Faculty of Society and Culture, attended from the UK. Reflecting on the university’s history dating back to 1823, he highlighted how Robotics and Artificial Intelligence are reshaping education today.
“Working in partnership with Unicaf”, Professor Nichol continued, “we seek to work with our students, to enable them to realise their full potential in this changing environment, and to create the conditions to develop personally and to make a real contribution to the economic and social well-being of society. I congratulate our graduates for their dedication and perseverance. Going forward, we encourage you to see learning as a lifelong necessity, to develop resilience, to view challenges as opportunities, to accept that the world is always evolving and to embrace the new with a bold determination to make it work for you, to lead and ensure you bring out the full potential of those around you, always acting with integrity, because your reputation is your most important asset and the cornerstone of your happiness and success”.
Dr Kevin Andrews, Chief Academic Officer of Unicaf, highlighted the perseverance of graduates who completed programmes while managing full-time work and family responsibilities.
“As Unicaf, we are proud to host this celebration in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University – a university with deep roots, strong values, and a clear sense of purpose. Our LJMU graduates have not merely completed a programme.
