Citizens request judicial records via casiercasier.gouv.ml and nationality certificates at nationalitenationalite.gouv.ml. Users track progress online without office visits. Remote areas gain the easiest access yet.

Online judicial documents streamline access

The Ministry of Justice worked with Agence des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (AGETIC) to create online portals for judicial and nationality documents. The technical teams added mobile-friendly features to make the process faster and easier.

Judicial records, which are important for jobs and travel, can now be processed online. Malians in the diaspora can also apply from abroad. This reduces the need for long trips across the country.

Minister Alhamdou Ag Ilyène said, “the reform reflects the government’s commitment to building a modern, accessible, and efficient state that better serves all citizens.”

Nationality documents go digital

Nationality certificates are needed for passports and to prove legal rights. The new system lets people complete the entire process online, from application to approval.

Mali ranks 173rd in the United Nations 2024 E-Government Development Index, but these new digital portals mark steady progress.

Agence des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication led the project with support from the ministry. Other efforts include services for the diaspora and new tools to manage cases. The push to modernize public services is speeding up across the country.

Users now apply through official websites and receive their documents online. Although internet access is still a challenge in some rural areas, more people are starting to use the system.

Transitional Government of Mali says putting judicial and nationality documents online is a step toward digital independence and more efficient public services.
