Platnova, Africa’s all in one money and lifestyle app, is celebrating its third anniversary with bold signals of growth and ambition, revealing milestones that position it among a rising wave of fintech platforms reshaping digital payments across the continent.
The fintech company has grown to serve over 100,000 verified active users and 50,000 businesses across Africa, while enabling seamless payments in USD, GBP, and EUR, a move aimed at breaking long-standing barriers for merchants trading globally.
The milestone was marked with a high-profile anniversary event attended by celebrities including Boma, Dorathy, and Egungun of Africa, alongside performances from Famous Pluto, Priesst, and other artists.
In a heartfelt address, co-founders Dr Benjamin Oyemonlan and Joshua Chinemezu reflected on the company’s journey.
“We’ve grown from a simple idea to serving over 100,000 verified active users and 50,000 businesses across Africa,” Benjamin shared proudly.
As a special highlight, Platnova unveiled a brand new Haice 2026 bus dedicated to staff transportation, a tangible expression of appreciation for their team’s dedication. Outstanding employees were recognized with awards for their relentless service and exceptional performance.
Looking ahead, users can expect exciting features including investment opportunities in stocks and treasury bills, enhanced virtual cards compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and expansion into Latin American markets including Brazil and Mexico.
“This isn’t just about us, it’s about serving you better,” Joshua emphasized. “Thank you to our customers, our family, our Platnova community. You’re the reason we’re here today.”
The event perfectly captured three years of innovation, resilience, and unwavering commitment to revolutionizing digital payments across Africa.
