Focus on AI and Data Skills
Seeding Africa said the scholarship programme aims to expand women’s participation in technology by equipping learners with globally recognised credentials and technical training.
Participants will gain access to online courses, mentorship, career guidance, and structured learning pathways delivered remotely. Training areas include data science, data engineering, artificial intelligence, spreadsheet analysis, and machine learning. The organisation noted that scholars will also receive career readiness support throughout the programme.
The programme will run for approximately six to eight months, with successful applicants expected to dedicate between 15 and 20 hours weekly to coursework and learning activities. Applications are currently reviewed on a rolling basis.
Eligibility and Application Requirements
According to the programme details published by Seeding Africa, applicants must be Nigerian women who are either university graduates or final-year undergraduate students. Candidates must also show interest in careers in AI and data-focused industries.
Applicants are required to submit a passport photograph, a valid identification document, and a curriculum vitae. They must also respond to essay questions covering their motivation, career goals, and experiences demonstrating resilience and commitment.
Accepted forms of identification include national identity cards, passports, driver’s licences, and student identity cards.
The programme also requires participants to have access to a laptop and a stable internet connection. Recommended computer specifications include at least 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a processor from the fifth generation or later.

Beyond technical training, Seeding Africa said the initiative will provide mentorship and professional guidance from the programme’s outset.
Successful applicants will complete online assessments and structured coursework while participating in career support activities intended to strengthen employability in technology-related sectors.
