The funding reflects rising investor interest in corporations building payment systems on stablecoin infrastructure.
The KAST startup plans to use the capital to expand globally, strengthen compliance operations, and develop new financial products built on stablecoin rails.
KAST projects $100 million annual revenue by 2026
The funding round was co-led by QED Investors and Left Lane Capital, with participation from earlier backers including Peak XV Partners and HongShan Capital Group.
The fundraising gives the stablecoin startup additional capital as demand for digital-dollar accounts and blockchain-based payment systems grows across global markets.
The company’s annual revenue run rate is expected to reach about $100 million in 2026, highlighting strong growth since launching its platform.
Founded in 2024 by fintech entrepreneur Raagulan Pathy, KAST offers digital dollar accounts that allow users to store and transfer value using stablecoins rather than traditional banking rails.
The platform also supports payment cards that automatically convert stablecoins into local currencies during transactions, enabling spending in multiple countries.
The payment company already serves users in more than 190 countries and has surpassed one million users.
The firm says its platform processes billions of dollars in annualised transactions as customers increasingly adopt digital-dollar financial tools.
Therefore, they plan to use the new funding to expand their operations across North America, Latin America, and the Middle East, regions where demand for faster and lower-cost international payments is rising.
The startup also intends to invest in licensing, compliance infrastructure, hiring, and product development as it scales its services.
Investors bet on stablecoin financial infrastructure
Backers of the KAST stablecoin startup view stablecoin-based payments as a new layer of financial infrastructure that could expand access to global banking services.
Following the funding announcement, the company’s co-founder, Raagulan Pathy, previously wrote: “For most countries and over half of global GDP, banking does not match the openness and speed of the internet, it’s fundamentally broken.”
He added, “Stablecoins are the clear solution, but the user experience wasn’t great. We are building Kast to change this.”
Investor interest in stablecoin infrastructure has intensified as digital-asset payment volumes rise globally and financial technology firms explore blockchain-based settlement systems.
For the startup, the $80 million raise positions the company to accelerate its stablecoin payments platform while expanding into new markets and financial services.
