As a first step towards Egypt’s transformation goal, TelecomEgypt and Huawei Cloud aim to launch Huawei’s first locally based public cloud platform in Egypt and Northern Africa.

In this partnership, they hope to establish Egypt as a centre for digital activity in the area, supporting the growth of digital services and cloud computing.

Huawei Cloud’s vital hosting in telecom Egypt’s innovative data centres will use the strength of more than 14 underwater cable networks to offer unequalled connectivity to more than 60 countries worldwide.

This robust framework will support the broad reach of corporations and Small to Medium-sized corporations (SMEs) in Egypt, enabling smooth and effective cloud access and integration. Plans are in place to grow to 18 undersea cable systems by 2025. As a result, businesses can quickly accelerate their digital transformation and growth by utilising the enormous potential of cloud computing.
