Established in 2021 by Achraf Aouadi and Rym Bourguiba, WildyNess links ethical tourists with genuine local experiences that are co-developed with micro-enterprises in the tourism industry.

In addition to improving the company’s technological infrastructure, the recently raised funds will hasten the company’s regional expansion into Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.

Uniqueness of WildyNess

WildyNess sets itself apart from mass-market platforms that provide standardised attractions by positioning itself as a leading platform for authentic travel experiences and Community-Based Tourism (CBT). As the first B2C/B2B2C travel marketplace in North Africa to announce a pre-seed round, WildyNess represents a significant milestone for the local traveltech ecosystem.

Despite fintech receiving a large portion of the region’s venture capital, WildyNess has demonstrated the promise of the market for sustainable experiences. Since its 2022 launch, the startup has generated over $300,000 in sales, all of which were achieved through organic growth and no paid advertising expenditures before seeking outside funding.

“This investment validates our thesis: the future of travel is not in volume, but in authenticity and impact,” said Achraf Aouadi, Co-founder of WildyNess. “Generating $300,000 in organic sales proves that travellers are seeking real connections, not generic attractions. With the support of Bridging Angels and the African Diaspora Network, we’re ready to scale this Tunisian success story across the MENA region.”

Modus operandi of WildyNess

WildyNess, founded by engineers Aouadi and Bourguiba, utilises its B2B2C business model to empower micro-entrepreneurs in the tourism industry by providing them with digital tools and exposure to tourists from around the world.

Bridging Angels’ investors stated, “We are proud to support African startups and entrepreneurs who bring a fresh perspective to their industries with relentless discipline and deep customer care. WildyNess exemplifies this spirit perfectly.”

By reaching this milestone, WildyNess aims to establish Tunisia as a hub for innovative, experience-driven, and sustainable tourism in the broader Middle East and North Africa.
