Hands-on AI training with real AWS tools

The Udacity/AWS AI & ML Scholars Programme 2026 begins with a Challenge Phase, where participants gain foundational knowledge through the AWS AI Practitioner learning plan. This stage is fully funded and self-paced, allowing learners to explore core AI concepts and emerging technologies at their convenience.

Participants will work directly with tools such as Amazon PartyRock and Amazon Bedrock, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The programme also introduces learners to natural language processing, computer vision, and responsible AI practices, ensuring a balanced approach between technical skills and ethical considerations.

Pathway to a funded Udacity nanodegree

Following the Challenge Phase, the top 4,500 participants—selected based on assessment performance—will advance to a fully funded Udacity Nanodegree programme. This second phase runs from 4 August to 4 November 2026 and focuses on building job-ready AI capabilities through project-based learning.

Participants will choose from three specialised tracks: Future AWS AI Programmer, Future AWS Agentic AI Business Professional, and Future AWS Agent Developer. Each track is designed to help learners build strong portfolios using AWS technologies, preparing them for roles in the rapidly growing AI sector.

Global access and extended learning benefits

The Udacity/AWS AI & ML Scholars Programme 2026 is globally accessible and fully online, enabling participation from anywhere. During the Challenge Phase, learners who complete the programme will receive a certificate of completion, validating their newly acquired skills.

In addition, participants gain three months of access to AWS Skill Builder, enabling them to deepen their understanding of cloud-based AI tools beyond the core curriculum. This extended access supports continued learning and reinforces the practical knowledge gained during the programme.

The Udacity/AWS AI & ML Scholars Programme 2026 follows a structured timeline, with assessments scheduled for July and final selections announced on 27 July 2026. As demand for AI talent grows, the programme gives learners a clear path to build relevant skills and connect with a global community of emerging professionals.
