The programme aims to spotlight startups building technology solutions for real-world problems while helping founders connect with industry leaders and global markets.
According to KPMG, the competition has attracted more than 1,300 applicants globally since its launch, with entrepreneurs pitching innovations across sectors including artificial intelligence, sustainability, healthcare and fintech. The 2026 edition will feature regional contests followed by a global final scheduled for November 2026.
Startups to Pitch on Global Stage
The competition is open to tech founders and entrepreneurs whose companies are less than seven years old and already showing business traction. Eligible startups must generate annual revenue between US$1 million and US$15 million or have raised at least US$500,000 in equity funding.
Applicants must also be registered in the country where they intend to compete and should not be majority owned by a large corporate organisation. All presentations and pitches will be conducted in English.
KPMG said participating founders would gain access to investors, mentors, media coverage and networking opportunities with fellow entrepreneurs and technology professionals around the world. The company added that the initiative also offers participants guidance from advisers with experience in scaling startups internationally.
Focus on Innovation and Growth
In a statement published by KPMG, Conor Moore, Global Head of KPMG Private Enterprise, said: “We introduced the KPMG Global Tech Innovator competition to spotlight the innovators who are redefining the frontiers of technology and their impact on the world. The trends we’re now seeing — from sustainable technologies to intelligent systems — show that the future belongs to those who combine creativity with purpose.”
He added: “If you’re interested in joining the 2026 Global Tech Innovator competition, we invite you to apply and showcase your innovation on a global stage.”
The judging process will assess entries based on innovation, market potential, customer adoption, long-term growth prospects and pitch quality. Finalists will present their ideas before panels made up of KPMG executives and industry specialists.
Application Deadline Announced
Applications for the competition close on 19 July 2026, according to details published on the official competition portal and supporting terms released by KPMG. Successful applicants will advance through regional rounds before the international final later in the year.
KPMG confirmed that finalists selected for the global event will receive travel and accommodation support for one company representative attending the November final. The company also stated that no fee is required to enter the competition.
