Galaxy Backbone Limited took first, while the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) grabbed third in the BPSR rankings announced Monday and awarded Tuesday. NCC’s Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Abraham Oshadami, received the honour on behalf of Executive Vice Chairman Dr Aminu Maida. He called it “an encouragement for the agency’s public service.”

NCC excels in website performance metrics

BPSR assessed MDAs using 14 criteria, from .gov.ng domain compliance to aesthetics, content relevance, structure, responsiveness, security, load time, uptime, and navigation ease. NCC’s site dominated in these areas, reflecting its push for digital excellence amid federal e-governance drives.

The agency recently inaugurated an uptime portal to monitor service interruptions experienced with Mobile Network Operators and Internet Service Providers. Regularly updated quarterly reports detailing the efficacy of telecommunications networks, derived from real-time consumer data, are now available online.

BPSR Director-General Mr Dasuki Arabi stated the ranking pushes institutions toward “global best practices” under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

NCC boosts website performance with Innovation

This accolade follows NCC’s top-5 spot among the best-performing government agencies earlier in 2025. The website delivers industry data, reports, and updates to stakeholders and investors.

Arabi emphasised, “The ideals of harnessing and deploying technological tools for service delivery have become imperative following the COVID pandemic.” NCC’s efforts align with Nigeria’s shift to paperless operations, with 31 ministries now digital.
