The latest intake aims to equip more young residents with the knowledge, experience and support needed to secure remote jobs and freelance opportunities.

The programme follows the success of its first cohort, which attracted more than 500 applications. Twenty-five participants completed the inaugural training, prompting organisers to increase capacity to 100 fully funded places for the new cohort.

This initiative helps participants move beyond classroom learning by combining practical experience, career preparation, and access to employment opportunities.

Practical Skills for the Remote Workplace

The training focuses on the everyday tools and systems used by remote teams and international businesses. Participants will receive instruction in virtual assistance, Google Workspace, Notion, Asana, customer relationship management systems, research and documentation, email and calendar management, client communication, productivity methods and business operations support.

The programme combines live Zoom classes with compulsory physical meetups in Lagos, allowing participants to build technical skills while working alongside mentors and fellow learners. Organisers say the approach gives participants direct exposure to real workplace practices rather than relying solely on classroom instruction.

Portfolio Building and Career Support

A key feature of the programme is its emphasis on practical projects that participants can include in their professional portfolios. Instead of leaving with only a certificate, graduates will complete work that demonstrates their abilities to employers and clients.

Participants will also receive career support through CV improvement, LinkedIn profile optimisation, interview preparation, work sample development and job search strategies. Experienced mentors will provide guidance, feedback and coaching throughout the 12-week programme, while graduates will gain access to internship opportunities, hiring partners and talent placement channels.

Who Can Apply?

The programme is open to young Lagos residents, including students, graduates, job seekers, aspiring virtual assistants and anyone interested in building a career in remote work. Applicants will complete an application and an assessment before being selected and beginning training and portfolio development.

Supahuman says its mission is to bridge the gap between learning and employment by helping young people build practical digital skills and connect with genuine work opportunities. Successful participants will also become members of the Supahuman alumni community, giving them continued access to networking, referrals and career support after graduation.

The fully funded programme will run for 12 weeks, with 100 available places in Cohort 2. As demand for remote professionals grows, the initiative gives Lagos youth a chance to build skills, expand their professional networks, and increase their earning potential in the global digital economy.

Interested applicants can apply here before the deadline of June 30, 2026.
