The programme, run by the Zendesk Foundation, offers grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, along with free access to the company’s AI-powered customer service platform. Applications for the 2026 cycle are open until 15 July 2026.

Funding and Software Support for Nonprofits

The initiative aims to help nonprofit groups improve how they respond to communities, manage support requests, and expand their reach using technology. Selected organisations will receive software donations, technical guidance, and financial support to strengthen operations.

According to the Zendesk Foundation, the programme supports groups that provide services to underserved and vulnerable communities. The company says the awards focus on improving access to information, strengthening emergency response systems, and opening pathways into technology careers.

Award recipients will gain access to Zendesk’s Resolution Platform, which includes AI tools that help organisations automate support systems, manage communication channels, and track service delivery more effectively.

Three Priority Areas Announced

The 2026 awards will prioritise nonprofits operating in three main areas. These include community-building initiatives that improve access to resources and social support networks, humanitarian projects responding to disasters and emergencies, and programmes that help under-represented groups enter the technology sector.

Zendesk said the programme was first launched in 2022 and has since supported organisations working in areas such as refugee assistance, environmental justice, workforce development, and crisis intervention.

Funding may also be combined with pro bono implementation support to help organisations integrate the software into their daily operations.

Eligibility and Application Deadline

The awards are open to registered nonprofit organisations worldwide, although some geographic restrictions apply. Applicants must submit proof of nonprofit status and complete the application process in English. Current Zendesk customers and previous grant recipients are not eligible for the programme.

Applications must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. ET on 15 July 2026. Zendesk says organisations applying for software donations and grants can now do so through a single application process introduced this year.

The company noted that nonprofits requesting only software donations will receive updates before the end of July, while Impact Award applicants will be reviewed separately for funding consideration.
