Launched in July 2025, this successful fundraiser was backed by Spain’s Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), family offices, and entrepreneurs from Europe and the Gulf. This action strengthens investor trust in The Lab Ventures’ business strategy, which provides startups in their early stages with practical experience and funding.
Backing pre-seed and seed-stage Innovation in MENA
The Lab Ventures focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage entrepreneurs in PropTech, HealthTech, and AI-enabled professional services to speed up B2B digitisation in underrepresented industries.
Jonathan Lahyani, General Partner for MENA & GCC, explained, “Our limited partners bring sector expertise, market access, and strategic relationships that directly benefit our portfolio companies. It’s not only capital; it’s a network of operators and entrepreneurs actively supporting our founders.”
The fund also provides operational assistance in product development, company expansion, and hiring to connect MENA and European markets.
Driving B2B transformation through signature Investments
Among its portfolio, The Lab Ventures has invested in PropSpace, the region’s leading real estate CRM platform. Patrick Caulfield, CEO of PropSpace, stated, “The Lab Ventures understood that transforming how our ecosystem connects, from tenants to brokers, by introducing all living-related transactions onto a single marketplace with an integrated payment gateway, was crucial.”
Heale.io, a HealthTech startup that streamlines corporate health insurance by putting businesses in direct contact with insurers, is another standout. These investments demonstrate the fund’s strategic role in promoting innovation and digital transformation throughout the B2B market in MENA.
Lab Ventures continues to combine funding with extensive operational engagement, influencing the growth and digitisation of MENA companies and connecting the area’s potential with European digital ecosystems.
