The call, announced by the World Internet Conference, invites designers, artists and innovators from around the world to submit original logo concepts that capture the spirit of youth leadership, digital innovation and global cooperation. The winning design will become the visual identity of the programme and will be featured across official events, publications and promotional materials.

Building the Digital Future Through Youth

Launched in 2023, the Global Youth Leadership Program has grown into one of the WIC’s flagship initiatives. The programme identifies promising young leaders working across internet technology, digital governance, innovation and related fields. Through forums, training activities and research projects, participants engage with emerging trends shaping the digital world.

According to the organisers, the programme has attracted applications from nearly 120 countries and regions, reflecting growing international interest in youth participation in digital development and governance.

The logo competition aims to visually represent this mission while highlighting the role of young people in building a more inclusive, open and cooperative cyberspace.

What Organisers Are Looking For

The World Internet Conference says submissions should reflect two core themes: “Youth and Digital Future” and “Global Vision”. Designers are encouraged to showcase the energy, creativity and leadership potential of young people while also illustrating international cooperation and shared progress in the digital era.

Entries must be original, visually distinctive and suitable for use across a wide range of platforms, including websites, social media channels, conference materials, event posters and souvenirs. The logo must also incorporate either the abbreviation “WIC GYLP” or the programme’s full English title.

The competition is open to participants of all ages and nationalities, although organisers have encouraged strong participation from young creators. AI-assisted designs and hand-drawn concepts are both permitted, provided there are no copyright concerns.

Deadline and Rewards

Applicants must submit their logo files, a brief concept explanation and a résumé by 31 July 2026. Optional demonstration materials, such as poster mock-ups or souvenir concepts, may also be included.

The selected designer or team will receive commemorative gifts and gain international exposure through the widespread use of the winning logo. In addition, a representative of the winning entry will be invited to attend the Youth and Digital Future Forum during the 2026 WIC Wuzhen Summit, where they will have the chance to meet youth leaders from around the world.

Expanding Global Youth Engagement

The announcement comes as the Global Youth Leadership Program continues to broaden its reach. Recent WIC events have drawn participants from dozens of countries, with organisers promoting greater youth involvement in discussions on technology, internet governance and international cooperation.

If you’re an aspiring designer looking to build global visibility and connect with the future of digital leadership, this competition offers a chance to shape the identity of a growing international movement.
